Atlatl Workshop with Susan Scherf

May 11, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Did you know that before the bow and arrow many cultures
throughout the world used atlatls to hunt? Such dart throwers
enabled hunters to throw the dart faster and farther than by hand
alone. Under the guidance of IAIS Educator Susan Scherf, you
will learn about its history and the different designs of this ancient
weapon before making your own atlatl and dart. Then, practice
throwing your own atlatl in a just-for-fun competition.

Space is limited; Reservations Required. Please call (860) 868-
0518 or email [email protected] to reserve your spot.

Price: $5 for IAIS Members; $15 for Non-members.
Note: Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
