From the Earth and the Sea: Founders’ Clambake and Drumming Festival

September 11, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Native American Dancer

Event Location: Riverwalk Pavilion, 11A School Street, Washington, CT.

Savor local Indigenous foods of lobster, clams, corn, and potatoes while enjoying drumming & dancing by the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers! In Native communities, festivals are often a way to both celebrate and give thanks. At this annual event, we give thanks to the many members, visitors, volunteers, and supporters who have helped to make our museum a success for more than 45 years. After you eat, get up on your feet to join the dancing!

This year, we are very excited to announce we are holding a Silent Auction during the Clambake! Auction items will be on display and we welcome guests to bid during the evening. Winning bids will be announced after the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers’ performance. These auction items include gift certificates from local restaurants and shops, Native made jewelry, baskets and more! Big thanks to our museum supporters (including local businesses), our Trustees and staff for organizing or donating these items!

Tickets are limited, pre-registration required by September 9th. Click here to purchase tickets via Eventbrite. Questions? Please call (860) 868-0518 or email [email protected].

Ticket Prices: $50 for IAIS Member lobster dinner; $55 for Non-Member lobster dinner; $10 for children or non-seafood guests (hot dogs, chips, lemonade).
