Myth and Memory at Lover’s Leap: A Closing Event

July 20, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

There’s still time to visit our temporary exhibit “‘Tales of a Forgotten Day:’ Myth and Memory at Lovers’ Leap” before it leaves at the end of July. This exhibit explores the creation of the “Legend of Weantinaug” and how it has shaped peoples’ perceptions about Native people and their place within the landscape. Join Paul Wegner, Assistant Director and Exhibit Curator, for a discussion on the design of this exhibit, continued archaeological findings, projects underway to keep the message alive after the exhibit is taken down, and how you can help to decolonize the history of Lover’s Leap.

Included in the price of admission:

Members Free; $10 Adults, $8 Seniors, $6 Children.
