Rooted in Tradition: Guided Plants’ Walk with Jesse Rose Komaromi

August 12, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Saturday, August 12
11:00am
In many traditional Indigenous worldviews, plants are considered to be our relatives, elders, and teachers. Join Jesse Rose Komaromi, Schaghticoke Tribal Nation, to embark on a guided journey of reclaiming relationships with the natural world through an Indigenous perspective. Embrace the wisdom of Nature as you immerse yourself in the woodland environment with time for nature sit spots along our Red Trail. End the walk with a refreshing tea made from locally foraged medicine of the Earth, a taste of the deep remembrance of our profound connection to all our relations.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. If there is anyone in your party that might have difficulty sitting on the ground, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate all participants.
Space is limited and pre-registration is requested. Please visit our website to register online. Questions? Please call (860) 868-0518, or email [email protected].

Price of Participation

Price of participation: $10 for IAIS Members, $15 for Non-Members.
