Offsite Program at Gunn Museum, 5 Wykeham Road, Washington, CT
As part of an ongoing program series, the Gunn Museum and Library will have as a special guest presenter our Educational Outreach Ambassador Darlene Kascak, Schaghticoke Tribal Nation. Their series, “Cooking Through Time,” combines history and food as participants discuss the history behind various recipes and food fads while sharing their experiences and creations with fellow members. Darlene will discuss the significance of ingredients to Indigenous cultures both in the past and present day.
Participants may cook and bring their creations to their meeting for fellow participants to taste, but they do not need to cook. Please note: an unrelated cook book featuring pies from the early 20th Century was selected at last month’s meeting. Recipes are sent out upon registration. Darlene will share a special recipe as part of this program.
Registration is required. For more information, and to RSVP, please visit the following link.
