Sunday Fun Day: Owl Edition

January 23, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

example of owl craft

Sunday, January 23, time slots at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00

Throughout the year, the IAIS Education Department offers small group craft workshops on Sunday afternoons. Sign up for a time slot with your family and friends. Express your creativity while learning about the world around you and connecting with a culture that has thousands of years of history in the area. There are varied and complex beliefs about owls in Native cultures, ranging from positive, to negative, to somewhere in between. While beliefs may vary from tribe to tribe, many of them come from the very adaptations of owls that make them such great hunters. Join an IAIS Educator to make a birch bark owl of your very own, as you learn about these mysterious and fascinating creatures in a program that’s sure to be “a hoot.”

Space per session is limited and pre-registration is required.  Questions? Please call (860) 868-0518 or email [email protected]. Price of participation, including materials:  $15 for Non-Members, $5 for Members
