Native peoples traditionally recognized that all beings are related and that animals and plants can be our teachers. As part of Connecticut Trails Day Weekend, join Museum Educator and Ecologist Susan Scherf from the Institute for American Indian Studies in Washington, CT for a guided walk focusing on traditional Native uses of plants in the Eastern Woodland environment. Susan will lead this walk to nearby Steep Rock, returning to the museum’s 15th Century Replicated Algonkian Village.
Please wear sturdy footwear and meet at the front of the museum.
Pre-registration is appreciated.
This is a FREE event, but does not include museum admission. Admission to museum is $12 Adults, $10 Seniors, $8 Children, and Free for IAIS Members.
