“Snakes” with Riverside Reptiles Education Center

October 24, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

As we say good-bye to our temporary exhibit “Skug,” about snake imagery in Native American communities throughout time, join us as we welcome Riverside Reptiles Education Center for a live snake presentation. In this Roving Reptiles Travelling Program, you’ll come face-to-face with a Copperhead, meet a giant python that weighs close to 100 lbs, and numerous other snake species. Learn about these fascinating, but often misunderstood reptiles and discuss what can be done to ensure their survival. In order to provide a small SCALE presentation, and ensure a more interactive yet safe experience, we are planning to offer two presentations, one starting at 1:00 and another at 2:30.
Note: Masks are required inside the museum, and outdoors on our grounds, when you are within 6 feet of other visitors, staff, or presenters.
Cost of participation: IAIS Members $5; Non-Member Adults $20, Non-Member Children $15. Space is limited. Please call (860) 868-0518, or email [email protected], to reserve your space in one of the presentations
